Equinox Corporation, New York, New York, June 14th 2004:

Equinox Corporation has been awarded a $750,000 Phase II SBIR contract from the DARPA IXO office. This award will allow for the development of a night vision sensor using multiple spectral bands to aid in tracking humans in low light conditions.

The sensor developed will produce a "colorized" low-light-level night vision image for enhanced discriminations of targets against background, as well as tracking human individuals.

Since 1999 Equinox has been a leading provider of unique image fusion products to the US Military spanning algorithms, electronics hardware and sensor optics. Equinox has produced groundbreaking technology for providing fusion of thermal infrared and visible modalities to the dismounted soldier as well as to Naval, Aerial and Biometric systems. In polarimetry Equinox has unsurpassed expertise in many types of imaging systems. Equinox is currently developing a number of automatic target detection, tracking and recognition systems.
