Equinox's coregistered visible-LWIR imager (VISIR) can acquire up to 60 frames
per second of dual-channel coregistered broadband visible (0.3-0.7 microns) and
thermal LWIR (8-12 microns) light through a common aperture. The two
channels are coregistered to within 1/5 of a pixel. The LWIR channel has 12 bits
of color depth. Current applications include surveillance, tracking,
and biometric identification.
