MWIR Polarization Imager
Equinox's MWIR polarization imager measures two of the four Stokes' parameters
of incoming MWIR (3-5 micron) light:
total intensity and degree of linear partial polarization.
The sensor can acquire up to 60 frames a second with a resolution of 320 by 240
pixels. Demonstrated accuracy has shown an error of 0.01% of partial
polarization on point sources and lower on extended sources.
Equinox's MWIR polarization sensor has shown that F-18s and IR countermeasures
have distinguished polarimetric signatures. All imagery show has been
declassified. MWIR polarization imagery of F-18 in flight cannot be shown
due to classified status.
