System Engineering positions at the intermediate level are currently open at Equinox Corporation 9 West 57th Street (near the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th street) in Manhattan. Required is either an MS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or, a BS in related fields with at least 2-3 years industry experience. Equinox is a High Technology Defense Contractor specializing in advanced intelligent imaging systems with several large on-going contracts from various Department Of Defense agencies. Emphasis is on computer vision algorithm design, optimization, computational hardware design and on novel imaging camera design. Current open positions are at the nexus of large image acquisition and processing techniques. Complete proficiency in C and C++ and ability to adapt rapidly is an absolute must. Candidate must also possess knowledge of data structures, systems integration, and computational theory.

Programming is multi-platform; primarily performed with both GNU gcc and Microsoft Visual Studio using multiprocessor systems. Applications are primarily real-time image processing in dynamic environments. Employees gain a lot of hands-on experience with imaging technology. Background in image processing is a plus but not required. Considered a plus is experience with any of:
